- SERVICE EVALUATION AND REVIEW
Our service evaluations review organisation’s objectives, policies, administration and delivery mechanisms. We examine the processes that are used as well as assessing outcomes. Unintended outcomes of service delivery as well as intended consequences are identified as an integral element of the evaluation process.
- PRACTICE CONSULTANCY
Providing effective, efficient and quality services to clients is a complex task that requires vision, commitment and energy on the part of the service providers. Guidance and input from an experienced professional can be supportive in achieving this task.
- POLICY DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION
Our consultants have a wide range of experience in policy development. We will support teams in developing and implementing their policies, helping to ensure best practice standards are met.
Monitoring and reviewing practices within services is vital in ensuring that service users are receiving positive outcomes. We provide monitoring services to a broad range of organisations.
- PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISION
Our consultants have been trained to provide profession supervision. With a view to enhancing outcomes, we use a four-function model which sees Support, Learning & Development, Accountability and Mediation as cornerstones to good supervision.
From time to time organisations need to manage disagreement and conflict within their teams. Through the medium of compromise, we provide a facilitation process aimed at defusing any difficulty a team may have in working together and improving team cohesion.
- TEAM BUILDING
Keeping a team motivated, committed and consistent can be a difficult task considering the human element and individual personalities. We offer team building practices and assistance in deployment, motivation, utilisation and leadership in order that needs of the service users can best be met.
- MANAGING STRESS
Our approach to stress management is designed with the “whole person” in mind. It is underpinned by assertiveness training, relaxation techniques and emotional intelligence acquisition.
- PRACTICE REVIEW
In recent years there has been a raft of legislation enacted which makes stringent requirements of service providers in the area of child protection.
Agencies are not always best placed to review their own practice, in this regard and in consultation with your organisation, our consultants will comprehensively review child protection practices within your agency. We will highlight where further development may be necessary and support these developments where required.
- POLICY DEVELOPMENT
We have extensive experience in policy development with a particular expertise in the area of child protection. Bearing in mind principles of good practice we will work with your organisation to develop policies which are comprehensive, inclusive, inline with current statutory requirements and user friendly.
- POLICY IMPLEMENTATION
Policies need to be readily implementable, accessible and comprehensive. The different aspects of the organisation’s policies need to be congruent and streamlined for ease of reporting and cross-referencing. Respecting an organisation’s culture and ethos, while at the same time meeting statutory requirements, is central to our service delivery in helping your organisation operationalise its policies and procedures.
External, independent monitoring of service provision is an essential aspect of safe practice which can also be a primary prevention mechanism. When adopted practice “norms” within an organisation become unofficial and dysfunctional, the role of monitor is essential. The recent child abuse inquiries, which centre on abuse within organisations, is testament to the destructive power of this phenomenon and the requisite need for external monitoring.
We have undertaken a range of independent investigations into complaints and allegations regarding practice, individuals and organisations. We have developed a two phase process which is helpful in keeping the investigation focused while at the time bearing in mind cost efficiency.
The process builds on the agency’s own internal investigation, policy review, interviewing and finally, submitting a report which is chronological, succinct and user friendly.
